Online Workshop: Innovative Approaches and Best Practices for Preparing and Expanding the U.S. Semiconductor Workforce

Thursday, Feb. 3
9:45am - 5:00pm EST

Presented by the State University of New York (SUNY), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)

You are invited to take part in this online workshop focusing on the challenges in the education and workforce development pipeline for current and future microelectronics manufacturing and design in the U.S.

This workshop will examine current semiconductor education efforts – what has worked, where we are falling short – and how the U.S. can innovate to expand, diversity, and better prepare the semiconductor workforce.

Workshop sessions will focus on best practices for successful, impactful and scalable education, workforce development (EWD) and outreach strategies, as well as new and innovative approaches to EWD for U.S. semiconductor manufacturing.

Call for Papers

DEADLINE: January 17

Submissions are being accepted for ‘lightning talk’ presentations (5 min + 2 min Q&A) in each of the three workshop sessions:

1.      EWD for Manufacturing and Packaging of Microelectronics

2.      EWD for Integrated Circuit and Heterogeneous Integration System Design

3.      Expanding Diversity in the Semiconductor Workforce
