Local high school students will celebrate Manufacturing Day with AIM Photonics on October 4, 2024. Students from the Capital Region BOCES Manufacturing and Machining class and Mohonasen High School’s AP Physics program will learn about silicon photonics manufacturing and tour the Albany NanoTech Complex with AIM Photonics Director of Education and Workforce Development Bob Geer and Photonics Technician Garret Heritage.

Luminate, based in Rochester, NY, is the world's largest business accelerator for startups working on emerging technology enabled by optics, photonics, and imaging. Startups accepted to the cohort received $100k each and compete for $2 million in follow-on funding.
