The Spark Photonics (SP) Component Library focuses on operating wavelengths in the 700-1300 nm range (I/Z/Y/J bands). In addition to the passive component cells, several parameterized cells (PCells) are included to assist with layout generation.

  • Grating coupler

  • Ring resonator

  • Spiral (circular and rectangular)

The following are planned for future library releases

  • Additional validated cells, including:

    • Waveguide crossings and terminations

    • Grating couplers

    • Directional couplers (90/10, 99/1)

    • Polarization rotators

    • Additional MMIs (1x3, 1x4, 1x7, 1x8)

    • Arrayed waveguide gratings

    • Thermal phase shifters

  • Hardware validation and further refinement of library components

  • Extension of library to visible wavelengths and O/C/L bands in SiN

  • Statistical variation in models
